24. Letting Them Walk On Ice Without Booties
Taking your dog out for a quick walk in the winter time is inevitable, and it’s probable that you’ll be walking them across patches of ice. However, the ice can be dangerous for more than its slipperiness.
Ice is often coated with chemical salt to help melt it, which can seep into the pads of your dog’s paws, or be licked up later once they’re inside.
The best way to keep your dog safe in the wintertime from any stray chemicals in the ice is to make sure that they have booties on when you take them outside.
