Cherries may seem like another easy and healthy snack to feed your dog, and this is partly true.

Dogs are perfectly fine when just eating the pulp of the cherry.

Unfortunately, the plant from which the cherry comes from, as well as the pit, are both toxic to dogs and cal cause respiratory failure or death.

The plant and the pit both contain cyanide, which is toxic to both dogs and humans.

When feeding your dog a cherry, make sure they’re not getting any of the pit, and keep them away from cherry plants for safety measures!
