Feeding your dog citrus-y fruits is a big don’t. The pulp of citrus fruits can give your dog and upset stomach.
Not only that, but there are high levels of citric acid and essential oils in the leaves, peel, stem and seeds of citrus fruits.
When ingested, these things can cause damage to your dog’s central nervous system, both the brain and the spinal cord.
It’s best to keep your dog away from citrus fruits, even if watching them react to a lemon can be tempting.
