Persimmon berries aren’t entirely toxic to your dog, though they can cause an upset stomach.
Inside the persimmon are seeds that can be dangerous, as well as a chemical that can become gluey and cause intestinal blockage.
Your dog may also accidentally choke on the cyanide-filled pit of the persimmon.
However, if swallowed, the pit can also be hard on your dog’s stomach and cause the small intestine to become inflamed.
