  1. The males were never protective. Always friendly to everyone and tolerant of other dogs. Maggie is super protective of me especially (never even thought pugs were capable of this!!) and wants to attack any dog we see! She’s good with most people but barks aggressively at certain men, esp anyone who comes to do any work at the house. We got her when she was two. Her third home in her two short years. I know she wasn’t properly socialized as a young dog which may be part of the issue. She’s a true bossy little alpha.
