Dainty and delicate? Yes. Extremely independent? Not a chance. Yorkies are the epitome of velcro dogs. And they’ll let you know when they’re unhappy because you haven’t paid full attention to them for 30 seconds.
This is a high-maintenance breed in both its demeanor and grooming needs (only if you keep the coat long). But they are great lap dogs and love to be pampered.
