12 Realities New Beagle Owners Must Accept

Beagles are wonderful family dogs. They are loving and affectionate, they are great with kids, and they are real cuddlers.

beagle 7There is nothing better than having a Beagle jump up on your lap, give you a kiss, and curl up for a nap under your arm.

They are silly, playful, cute, loving, soft-hearted dogs that will steal your heart.

They are a sensitive breed that feels your pain, laughs when you laugh, and snuggles when you cry.

Sometimes they will just do the funniest things and will find joy in the simplest of toys.  An empty cardboard box can provide hours of fun for a beagle.

If you are considering to own a beagle, or you’ve just become a new beagle owner, there are some realities you do need to fully accept.

  1. My Sookie, 7 yrs old. Got her when she was 6 weeks old and been in love with her since day 1. She’s my fur child for sure. It’s amazes me how well she knows exactly when it time to eat. She sits in front of me almost to the minute for breakfast dinner and snack. Goes crazy if I leave the house for even a short time, like I’ve been gone for days. No matter how old they get they always seem to still look like puppies. Love Beagles❣

  2. My Beagle Bailey is 7 years young. He has frustrated me, embarrassed me and drove me to distraction. But he is my best friend and has helped me through so much. I can’t imagine life without him and I will care for him as he has cared for me until the end.

  3. This is Benson. He slipped his collar put camping last weekend. I never ever allow him off his runner when we are out camping. And I panicked because he went chasing our other dog (a Husky) into the bush, our husky is able to be off leash. Well….hubby says, just see what he will do. He was OFF leash for the whole weekend with no training whatsoever!!!! I’m guessing that by watching our Husky be off leash for the last year is what trained him. Plus, he’s her shadow anyways. I’m so proud of my lil man and he grew all up on me in one day!! Love you Benson!!!!
