The American Cocker is a conveniently-sized sturdy dog who is friendly to strangers and is peaceful with other pets. If you have other pets, they are not the jealous type in any way.
If you have asthma though, that could be a problem as the American Cocker does a lot of shedding! They need a great deal of companionship and do not like being left alone even for a few hours.
They tend to destroy things and bark a lot when they are unhappy. With their cuteness, I’m sure you’ll be just as clingy!
