Emotionless Man Starves His Dog To Death & Goes On The Run

In a day and age where animal abuse is on the rise, there are still kind folks in the world who step up to help. Thanks to an anonymous caller in Rochester, New Hampshire, police were summoned to the home of 31-year-old Michael Jouvelakas.

It all started when the caller thought Jouvelakas shot and killed his two-year-old Pit Bull, Mandy, and put her decaying body in the basement where he lived. On further investigation, the cause of Mandy’s death proved wrong.

However, the police located the man near his home and found the dog’s body wrapped in a blanket, dumped in a trash bag, and placed in the back of a pickup truck.

Jouvelakas was not immediately charged because a further investigation was deemed necessary. Rochester police Captain Todd Pinkham said the cause of death was not certain even though Mandy showed signs of malnourishment.

A necropsy on the body deemed the cause of death to be starvation. Jouvelakas was finally charged with two counts of cruelty to animals after he turned himself in.

Rest in peace, sweet Mandy.
