We've come across an amazing and touching documentary between a woman, Doreen Devore, and her beloved pug, Spanky.
“Considering how much joy our pets can bring us, is love between a pet and an owner any less significant than love between two people?”
That's the question that Doreen raised and this beautiful documentary attempts to (and most successfully does in our opinion) shed some light on that question through the story of the devoted Doreen and her precious pug Spanky.
Spanky has been with Doreen for 16 long years! They are best of friends and love each other very much (which is so apparent from the film). However, Spanky requires a little extra love and attention because of his old age and health problems.
Watch and learn all the ways Doreen keeps Spanky taken care of so that he can stay as healthy as possible. It’s amazing how much devotion can go to a helpless doggy.
Watch this touching story between Doreen and her pug, Spanky on the next page. Grab some tissues!

This brought back so many emotions for me, as I remember my loss of my Best friend 3 yrs ago, no greater love than that of a pet, it does something to one’s heart that only if you had one in your life could you understand.

I use to raise pugs. They are wonderful. Two of the pugs I had lived to be 18 and 19 yrs old. I miss them; I miss and cry often over my pugs. Love my pugs

breaks my heart. i know her feeling. when i lost my pug at 10 and a half, i was a wreck. he loved me like no other. he had a back problem, sizures, couldn’t hear and his sight was going. but i loved him till the very end. he passed away in e.r. by an over dose. i noe have another one that i’ve had seen he was old enough to leave his mother. helps the pain a whole lot. thanks for sharing your amazing story

What a wonderful story. We have three pugs who we so enjoy living with. The unconditional love they give us is never-ending. People who do not have a dog in their life do not know what they are missing. RJB

My pug, Cuco, is 13 1/2 and twice cancer survivor. He was diagnosed with Squamous cell carcinomas in early October 2015. He was admitted at UC Davis on October-19 for surgery. It was suppose to be a 3-5 days stay but complications developed and he had to go through a second surgery to remove 25% of his tongue as it got massively swollen and blood was not circulating properly. Did I mention the feeding tube he had on for 10 days? At some point the surgeons told me that he may not make it. It broke me and for the first time in years I went to church and prayed not for him to get better but for him to be able to come home and die here. Fast forward four months… Cuco not only came home alive but has only improve since.
