We've come across an amazing and touching documentary between a woman, Doreen Devore, and her beloved pug, Spanky.
“Considering how much joy our pets can bring us, is love between a pet and an owner any less significant than love between two people?”
That's the question that Doreen raised and this beautiful documentary attempts to (and most successfully does in our opinion) shed some light on that question through the story of the devoted Doreen and her precious pug Spanky.
Spanky has been with Doreen for 16 long years! They are best of friends and love each other very much (which is so apparent from the film). However, Spanky requires a little extra love and attention because of his old age and health problems.
Watch and learn all the ways Doreen keeps Spanky taken care of so that he can stay as healthy as possible. It’s amazing how much devotion can go to a helpless doggy.
Watch this touching story between Doreen and her pug, Spanky on the next page. Grab some tissues!

I recommend the book “a dogs purpose” by
W. Bruce Cameron. One of the most beautiful books I have ever read. Crying on one page and laughing on the next – it is wonderful!

The most beautiful love story you will EVER SEE. To everyone who says they simply can’t watch it through to the end I ask, how are you going to handle your own little puggy’s end of life? It’s difficult to say goodbye to the unconditional love only a pug can bring you. I cried like a baby myself. I haven’t cried like this in a very long time. But it speaks volumes as to why we love these funny little characters who enrich our lives so much. Bless you little Spanky for all of the love you brought into Doreen’s heart. You owe it to yourselves to watch it through. It is amazing.

Kudos to you for all that you did for Spanky. I spent the last year of my sweet Tulip’s life doing the exact same thing (she was 14) Wheelchair, diapers, stroller, water therapy, and just carrying her. Losing her was the toughest thing. Now I have George and Louise (new pugs) that I know Tulip would love. So happy to know there are people out there like me. Hugs!

My Charlie lived to be 20. We had the pads on the furniture and carried him everywhere the last year of his life he could not walk. I would bathe him every day since he would pee in his bed at night. Lots of laundry. I could hold him overly the toilet and he would number 2. He was a wonderful friend.

Soo close to my black pug Sambuka. COPD, arthritis, blinf, def and turning 17. Takes breathing treatments, hydrotherapy, k lazer and meds for comfort. A blessing that she can still walk, not well but gets along well considering. The strongest, most loyal and loving being I’ve had the pleasure to live with. Unconditional love, our hearts are one and although I’m facing anguish, I cannot be more grateful for our relationship. She was a gift for my husband but for some reason she chose me. Could not ask for more laughter, happiness, and contentment in my life than what I have with her. She is my angel and I have and will continue to do ANYTHING for her, including humanely end any suffering or when her spirit to live fades. Hopeful she goes in peace on her own but she will let me know either way. “I love my Pug” is an understatement.

I have a 12 year old Pug named Sadie and my Sister has a 15 year old Pug named Lili, and I know how hard it will be for both of us to put our dogs down when the time comes. This was such a beautiful Love Story Video from a remarkable and loving Lady. So happy that I watched it, and God Bless you. O:)

I totally understand I have had 2 pugs who lived to be 16 one was 16&1/2 love of my life. I have not been without a pug for more than 3 mo. In the last 35 years. I could not stand loosing my pookie either. I got a new baby which helped but can not replace them. We have 3 now a 13 yr old a 7 yr old and 6. Love them dearly.
