The Landseer is a majestic-looking dog that many people think is a black and white version of the popular Newfoundland breed. But regardless of how much the two breeds look alike, the Landseer has a reputation all of its own. It has a wonderful disposition, being mild, kind and calm around children; it is also affectionate and even-tempered.

This breed of dog has an average life expectancy of around 10 years.
