The Scottish Deerhound is a unique-looking dog with a good reputation when it comes to being around children. Although it has slightly longer hair than most dogs, it sheds very little of it. The Scottish Deerhound is a large dog, so if you plan on bringing one home then breeders recommend that you have plenty of space for it to run around in.
The Scottish Deerhound generally lives between 8 and 11 years, with an average lifespan hitting the 10-year mark.
