  1. My Harvey gets fresh meat every night, it can be ground beef, chicken breast or whatever cheap cut of beef I can get, he eats what we eat as well. He is almost six and thankfully he is healthy and happy. That’s him begging for his spaghetti cooling on the counter, his all time favorite….

  2. It’s an individual needs that will vary through a bit of trial and error. I know a bunch of dogs that can’t eat meat. As long as people give their individual a balanced diet and stick to the base lines of avoiding the bad stuff (onions, herbs, carbs ect). I agree that you shouldn’t cook ANY dog food, exception of a light steam for veggies when they get older and the insides don’t work as well.

  3. Prey model raw diet is better their bodies can’t digest and process fruits and veggies all that well hardly any nutrient is even absorbed. With raw all the balanced and nutritional needs are met and satisfied with a balanced and variety full diet.

  4. But veggies can’t be processed so how does that benefit them when they get older if there stomach isn’t working properly. Tjey can barely digest any veggie period then want to “help” them when they get older. Doing more harm then good.

  5. lol so you can afford to cook the meat but not give it raw lol. No needed extra vitamins other then zinc needed. When you cook it you need to add vitamins. Not to mention rice and grains are not necessary and can cause yeast issues in many dogs. So your buying foods not needed . That is a wast of money ..

  6. Zoe I’m trying my best to feed what is right. It’s a huge learning and trust curve. Having part of his food cooked is ok. I also have an immune disorder so raw can make me sicker easier than cooked. Check out Dr. Karen Becker.

  7. No sweet potato or rice for Herkie. He does not like either even though a little rice in something is different. He refuses any food if he can smell or taste sweet potato! But now I know what to do with at least one turkey in the freezer!
