As a responsible dog owner, it's critical to know what you can and can't feed your dog. Is it enough to just stick with a decent doggy diet?

Nope. There's a ton of foods you probably didn't know about that can actually be really bad for your dog, including some that are perfectly healthy for humans.

There's nothing worse than having your dog suffer over a simple mistake in diet. While they're still man's best friend, they probably shouldn't eat like your best friend.

    There are plenty of rescue organizations that have wonderful dogs… There are many advantages in considering this route. We have two such Dobermans… and, yes, they know their adoption changed their lives for the better. Ours too.

    I HAD THROWN A BAR OF DARK CHOCOLATE IN TRASH. NEXT MORNING GOT UP TO VOMIT ON FLOOR.I THOUGHT CRICKET WAS SICK. WELL SHE GOT THAT CHOCOLATE OUT OF THRASH AN ATE IT. ITS A MIRACALE SHE JUST THREW IT UP.

    lucky. Mine got into a box of chocolates around xmas time.. she had immense energy all night.. zoomed through the snow like never b4. Stayed up with her in case something nasty happened.. but gradually it wore off.. not even the runs next day, tho a little soft. Whew.

    As an employee of a pet store I can say for certain that the pet treat industry is a beast all its own. What people fail to notice is the amount of calories from treats need to be subtracted from their food portion, in order to keep weight down. Too many pets are overweight, and it’s our own doing. Please stop killing your pets with kindness!!!!!!

    That list is facebook trash. Let’s see some citations not just opinions like “can cause pancreatitis” – well, ok then – so are we making a list now of other fatty foods? Unless you want to cite some proper sources, keep this unscientific garbage to yourself please.
