Dogs are probably one of the most diverse-looking species on the planet. Thousands of years of breeding has created a wide range of distinctive breeds with drastically different colors, coats, sizes and shapes.
But what happens when you take some of these distinctive breeds and combine their most notable properties? You get dogs like these adorable cuties, who combine the best of both of their breeds.
We’ve compiled some of the most UNREAL pictures of Dachshund cross breeds that might shock you at first, but they are REAL.
But one things for sure… I don’t really care what they are… I just wanna to hug them all.
If you love Dachshunds as much as we do, then you’re sure to love these 34 gorgeous Doxie cross breed mixes.
Check out the pics on the next page! Wait 'til you see the last one!!!

I think most of these crosses are awful, also crossing hounds with terriers is unfair to the dogs. I will stick with my pure bred dachshunds thank you

quit screwing around with purebred dogs, you are not creating new breeds, but mutts with who know what qualities, unless you are a genetic scientist you have no clue what you will get UGH!!!! & you wonder why there are so many unwanted dogs that end up in humane societies, nothing but puppy mills with outrageous prices:(

Mine is a brindle piebald dachshund. Pure bred. Yet, people always think he is beagle mixed.

This may have been addressed by earlier comments – some of these pictures look like they are pure dach that someone thinks are crossbreeds. The cream, the wire haireds and one of the brindles look all doxie to me. My foster is a red piebald and people ask me if she crossed with Jack Russel…some just don’t know that weenies come in more than red and black n tan lol

Our newest rescue doxie has to take 3 allergy pills a day and still sneezes uncontrollably. He was locked in his kennel his first 5 years and loves to be outside. He has deformed feet also. But despite all of his struggles, he is the happiest boy. I feel so bad for him. Definately some terrible breeding in his history.

Soo glad you found him. My vet says its very common for doxies to be allergic to alot of things. I hope the people who did that to your baby gets the worst kinda karma ever

How about you spay and neuter? That is the ONLY answer to unwanted pets. And mixed are not healthier,,,it’s all about how well an animal is cared for. Just let them breed? Smh….

Are you kidding me?! It’s disgusting & irresponsible if these owners are allowing their dachshunds to breed with a large breed dog (especially, if it’s a female dachshund! Not to mention, extremely dangerous for the female dachshund to give birth. And we need to stop allowing the naming of such breeds! It just gives some moron license to experiment with dangerous interbreeding. For what?!? Just so they are recognized as the inventor?! I admit I do not know how the naming of breeds go, but it seems pretty evident that they are getting away with it.
