  1. There are very few pure breed dogs. Almost all breeds were cross bread. Boxers were mixed with another all hunting dogs all tiny breeds. I rescue dogs and to talk down about a breed is just like talking down to a human that is different than you .

  2. While it may be fun to make up names & imagine what mixing breeds might be like, it is irresposible & unethical to do this on purpose for personal profit while so many mixes are killed in shelters due to not enough homes daily. Don’t encourage being part of the problem. Please adopt & save a life!

  3. This is Doc… He is a full-blood Boxer. I don’t know about encouraging all this mixing breed business… Backyard breeders take away a little integrity don’t ya think?

  4. My first Boxer was a boxer springer spaniel mix named Gary. He was so awesome! Currently have a full euro boxer named Felix.

Amanda Pants, show them Pockets! Boxer/Pei mix should totally be on this list!

  5. William Housworth Incorrect. The Boxer came from the Bullenbeisser, a now extinct breed in the Molosser group which include English and American Bulldogs, Bullmastiffs, Cane Corso, Dogue de Bordeaux, etc. Boxers were originally bred as bull baiters, just like bulldogs. They never had tiny breeds added to the bloodlines. I’m fine with mutts, but to deliberately breed them and make money off of them is wrong. Any crossbreed is a mutt, pure and simple, and to sell them for thousands of dollars is a rip off. To sell poorly bred “purebreds” is a rip off. With the current pet over population the only people that should be breeding are the reputable breeders that are doing so to promote the best of their breed by breeding only the best, healthiest dogs, offering health guarantees on their puppies and a guarantee to take them back should the family not be able to care for them for any reason, at any point in their life. Reputable breeders don’t pump out puppies for profit and always have lists of screened and qualified people waiting for their puppies. I work with rescues and have adopted several Boxers myself. If we could stop the backyard breeding and the desire for the “designer dog” there would be a lot less pets needing homes!

  6. William Housworth you’re misunderstanding the comments all breeds came from mixing other breeds but shelters right now are full of mixed and purebred dogs anyway all from stupid people breeding because they think is cool to mix dogs for their looks and then when the cute fluffy puppy grows up to look not so cute they go and dump them in the pound . Nobody is talking about the dogs I was referring to the reckless breeding and mixing

  7. The AKC breeds right now shouldn’t be mixed period. Too many have health issues alone and the mixing I am seeing it’s ridiculous a pug and a french bulldog. Pug and sharpei bulldog and beagle etc and guess what they sell them for $3K or less and the parents are living in filth in a cage being bred to death in a puppy mill

  8. People need to stop breeding period. Stop mixing. While mixes are AWESOME most of the time they are the result of irresponsible breeding or accident litters. One of my dogs included and I thank god she’s Mine. But guess what a lot of her siblings have been rehomed multiple times already and she’s the only one who was kept in the sane home for over 6 years now because She is mine and I would never dump my dogs anywhere because I love them like my Children.

  9. Only breeders I support and admire are those who dedicate their life to improve a breed. Breeding the best of the best for best overall health while keeping the looks according to the breed standards. Ethical reputable breeders are one in a million. Most breeders now a days are in it for the money
