    Don’t have respect for purposely cross breeding. Grew up with boxers they are awsome dogs all on their own. Would not promote this at all. Stop breeding rescue a shelter dog save a life.

    Have and I’ll continue to manipulate genes that are not normal in order to get the perfect pup. Its in the bloodline..it comes from a breed that’s now extinct… Hmm wonder why. You crop and doc animals to make money.. That’s morbid. You have no place as a ” breeder” to look down on anyone. Gtfoh

    We shouldn’t be ‘making ‘ dogs at all. Imagine if someone decided we should make the perfect human…..oh hang on that happened late 1930s / 40s and people were completely against it. Pets are a human desire not a necessity which unfortunately includes many unwanted or abused animals in the process. They are not commodities but living breathing feeling beings. Breeders are in it for money – simple – if there was no money in it they wouldn’t do it otherwise. So many unwanted dogs/ cats in rescue centres – if someone wants a pet so badly – go there instead of contributing to the supply and demand of breeders.

    Reputable breeders are NOT “in it for the money”! If they are making a profit then they’re not doing it properly or doing it for the right reasons. Reputable breeders spend thousands upon thousands in health testing, usually are spending loads of money in showing or working their dogs, and then there are vet bills and the costs of raising a litter. They are in it to keep the breed standard that we are all in love with along with breeding with goals to eliminate health problems. The answer is spay and neuter your “pets” which a reputable breeder will have in their contracts!! Educate yourselves before bashing breeders!

    Actually, Melissa Seekman, reputable breeders make very little off of their pups once they’ve paid for genetic and health screenings. They are in it to put forth the very best the breed has to offer in health and confirmation, according to the breed standards. In the case of the Boxer, they also have to show the ability to be a working dog. Not to mention that ALL reputable breeders will offer a guarantee that the dog will be returned to them, no matter the reason or age of the dog. It’s called responsible breeding. And purebreds and mutts, by definition, are antonyms (as in opposites). Better educate yourself some more, girlie. BTW, adoption is ALWAYS the best answer.

    These two lovebugs are our rescue babies. Bentley (brown and white) is a boxer, pointer mix. Blossom (black and white) is a boxer, pit mix. We couldn’t care less if they are pure bred or not! They were both severely abused and neglected. They needed us. Now, they both live the high life. We couldn’t ask for a better pair. They love us and eachother unconditionally. Neither one ever has to worry about anything ever again! ❤️

    I grew up with pedigree boxers but I have since had 2 boxer x’s. Both accidental crosses I might add. My first with a collie, and my current with a American bull. Both totally amazing, great valued members of my family. I would hate to see pure bread wiped out, but I really don’t care, it’s who they are that counts. X

    I’m sorry but I just do not see how some of these breeds being “special orders” are good for some of these breeds. Sizes are so extremely different from one another. I love the boxer breed & yes I know originally years & years & years ago it was by breeding different breeds together. But come on it’s 2016 now! I also loved my rescued little girl pekingese/mix. But I would never request 2 or more breeds be mix to get a designer fur baby now a days! Js, my opinion. I am glad for every rescued baby here on finding loving homes but I won’t support designer breeders who are doing it now with all the knowledge out here.
