All Toby ever knew was life on a short chain outside. He was stuck in the dirt with nowhere to move, no access to shelter or water, and had no social interaction. The chain had also cut deep into his neck, which caused him a lot of pain.
Many chained dogs develop behavioral issues, but Toby is extremely friendly and well-behaved, despite everything that he had gone through.
Thankfully he was rescued by kind-hearted people from Sidewalk Specials, and was freed from that short chain for the first time. He was finally able to roam where he wanted and feel the freedom that every dog deserves to have.
Toby was so happy to see rescuers; he jumped on them and showered them with kisses and couldn’t stop wagging his tail. He was so grateful and relieved to finally leave this awful life behind him.
Toby struggled to adapt to his new life, since all he ever knew was living on a chain, but his new family helped him every step of the way. His new family decided to name him Harry. Harry was hesitant to use the stairs, so his new human dad carried him up and down until he felt comfortable to do it himself.
Harry even has a new doggy friend named Crunchie who he gets to run around and play with in his new big yard. Harry had always dreamt of feeling the wind on his face as he runs free, and now he gets to experience that every single day!
