Police showed up to a rural property in Tennessee for a legal matter but found no one was home — except for 22 dogs in need.
The cops returned later along with some animal rescue teams and a warrant and rescued the abused and neglected dogs. It was such a deplorable, horrific situation for them to witness.

One of the dogs realized this was the moment they were being saved and rescued, and his smile said it all. That look on his face meant that he felt content and trusted these people.
Almost all of the dogs exhibited signs of neglect including dehydration and mange. They were rushed to the animal rescue center to receive the care and meds needed. Local shelter organizations will help them all find forever homes once they’re ready.

The property owners have been arrested and are facing animal cruelty charges for the nightmare scenario they created for these innocent dogs.
