Pit Bulls Refuse To Leave Each Other’s Side As They Recover From Their Awful Past

Casey Alves was a busy woman; she and her fiancé had just bought a house and were in the middle of planning a wedding. On top of that, they had just adopted a cat named Louise.

So when she received a Facebook message from her friend—who fosters dogs and cats from high-kill shelters—regarding two puppies, she had a lot to think about.

Her friend explained that these two five-month old Pit Bull sisters, Ria and Ella, were brought in and were in very bad shape. They needed someone to take them in who could provide them with the proper love and care.

The dogs both had bad demodectic mange, which left them with no hair and a lot of pain. After seeing them, Alves decided that she needed to help.

Alves met with her friend to pick up the two dogs. It didn’t take long for her to realize how bonded these two sisters were. Whether it was in the car or their house, they never left each other’s side. The two of them would even lick and clean each other while they were healing from their mange.

After a few weeks, their mange was finally going away and their fur started to grow back. They healed beautifully and looked like completely different dogs!

Now that they were in good health, it was time for the dogs to be up for adoption. But Alves couldn’t let them go that easily. She and her fiancé decided that the best thing to do would be to adopt both of them!

Even to this day, Ria and Ella are still inseparable! It’s amazing that they get to stay together for the rest of their lives, and now in a loving home!
