Nala is a cat with a cleft lip who was found trying to give birth to her babies on the streets of the Netherlands.
She had a difficult pregnancy, so the rescuers from “Dierenbescherming” scooped her up and rushed her to the hospital for an emergency C-section.
Sadly, only one of the kittens survived.

The shelter took in the 2-year-old Nala and her kitten and started prepping them up for adoption. Nala’s kitten found a forever home soon but the poor mama was left all alone.
Due to her cleft lip, Nala always looks like she is smiling brightly. However, she keeps getting ignored by the visitors.
Nala gets excited every time a potential adopter walks in. She runs to them and greets them with her endearing smile.
Despite her sweet personality, Nala is highly allergic which makes many people reluctant to adopt her. Currently, the shelter feeds her hypo-allergenic food which helps her stay healthy.

The shelter hopes that Nala finds a home that has a fenced garden as she loves spending time outdoors. She loves the company of other pets too, but any prospective owner must take care of her special diet.
