A man from Murfreesboro, Tennessee, decided to go out fishing recently and was walking along the banks of a creek when he stumbled on a horrific scene.
There, in the middle of the ground with nowhere to go and no way to run, was an innocent dog with a zip tie tethered to his lower extremities. The dog was drenched in water, so perhaps he was thrown in the creek and managed to get out somehow.

On closer inspection, the good Samaritan noticed the zip tie was tied around the dog’s testicles, which has ruptured as a result. The poor dog looked up at the man, who rushed him for help.
The kind folks at Proverbs 12:10 Animal Rescue took the dog in and named him “Zip.” He had bloodwork and was going to be sedated to have the zip tie removed from his anatomy.

“Zip will be on I.V. antibiotics and pain meds until morning,” the rescue group shared on Facebook. “We will be transporting him to our primary vet, Cornerstone Animal Hospital, tomorrow morning, where he will have a scrotum ablation.” When the vet at Blue Pearl saw the dog, he noted the zip tie had been in place for “quite some time.”

Fortunately, Zip came through surgery like a champ and is on pain medications and antibiotics as he recovers.
