#12 Komondor – $800

Kicking off our list of most expensive dogs is the Komondor, also know as Hungarian Sheepdog, but mostly referred to as “Mop Dog”.

The Komondor originated in Hungary, where it was mostly used for herding livestock and guarding. Obviously enough its most special feature is the long string like hair which terribly enough, actually looks like a mop! This breed was recently made popular by Facebook’s founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg who adopted “Beast”, his sweet dog.

Well, maybe you don’t need to be a Billionaire in the scale of Zuckerberg, but you will still need to say goodbye to $800-1,000 in order to get you hands on one of these pups.
