Teller County Police in Colorado are searching for a man who beat and dismembered two dogs.
30-year-old Matthew Stephen Dieringer, of Pueblo, was accused of killing both of his roommate’s dogs.
Dieringer allegedly beat seven-year-old Australian Cattle Dog Suka to death, as well as killed and dismembered his roommate’s other dog, Hayoka.
After undergoing a necropsy, it was confirmed that Suka died from blunt force trauma. The reasoning behind the killings is unknown.
Dieringer is on the run and has an active felony warrant for two counts of Aggravated Cruelty to Animals, a class six felony.
Teller County Police are still searching for him. They say he was last seen near Manitou Springs and may have dyed his hair a darker color.
Police are warning people not to approach him if they see him, and to instead call them immediately.
