Dog Who Was Lost For Years Is So Happy To See His Best Friend Again

A shelter in Ukraine took in a huge dog with blue eyes from the streets who looked a little rough from this neglected life. The boy was emaciated and his body covered in mange. The volunteers wanted nothing more than to find the dog the perfect home once healthy, but they didn’t realize he already had one, and his best friend was missing him dearly.

The shelter posted pictures of the dog on the internet to drum up interest and seek potential adopters, and surprisingly a lot of people wanted the raggedy looking pup! Within just hours, the post was shared hundreds of times all across the world.

And one woman took notice and contacted the shelter telling them that she’d had her dog stolen from her back in 2017. This one looked a lot like her old pup, and a meeting was set up to confirm or deny the possibility it was hers. And this meeting was certainly something to see.

The dog, whose name was Lord, had been waiting to see his owner again for so long. He’s now back where he belongs in life, in the arms of a loving best friend who’s ready to make up for lost time.

“Tears of joy in the morning,” the shelter said about the reunion, also calling it a “miracle.”

“We thank everyone who shared our post. Thanks to you that the dog’s life was saved, and peace returned to his owner’s soul!”
