Long-Lost Pug Makes Incredible Journey to Get Home

There are a bunch of things we can remind ourselves to be grateful for as we near Thanksgiving, but losing our dog for close to a year isn’t one of them.

This is an incredible story about Chips, a 4-year-old pug who left home last Thanksgiving near San Antonio, Texas and somehow ended up 650 miles away in Petal, Mississippi.

Chips was very lucky to have been found by a good Samaritan in the parking lot of a local store, and even luckier to be taken to this pet hospital where it was discovered that Chips had a microchip.

Chips the pug is on his way home, nearly a year after disappearing from his owners, Mark Becker and Joni Harrel's lives after the holiday.

After waiting so long for him to return, it’s understandable that some pup parents would give up hope of reuniting with their best friend.

    This guy ran off early morning a couple weeks ago he’s strictly indoor and doesn’t know the area we moved to well enough, he made it home by himself safe! Gone over night, I was worried sick!

    Wow lucky dog and owner !! a few years ago when my dog was 6 months old ; the walking dog service let my dog run in a strange herd without a leece ( -against my rules)!! My dog Noena of 6 months old wandered over 48 hours trough forrest; sand dunes and the village before to find her way back home to me!! her mouth raw from searching
