Joshua the Pug’s Rescue Story of Hope Will Have You In Tears…

It always breaks my heart whenever I come across stories of abandoned dogs… but a good number of these dogs are lucky enough to get rescued by caring people out there willing to extend a helping hand to dogs in need (bless these people!!!).

Joshua is one such dog, a brave pug who went through the worst of times being abandoned who was fortunate enough to find a path to the best of his life.

joshua the pug - story of hope

As you'll soon see, he's a real fighter who didn't give up! He proved to everyone that he could make it through the worst of conditions.

When all hope seemed lost, Joshua remained strong. His new owners are so proud and happy to have him as part of their family.

  1. If it was up to me, I’d find those people, put them up against a wall and shoot them a little at a time. I just put my Pug down 5 days ago after almost 15 years of loving and caring for him. Pugs are very special dogs, so human like and loving. All dogs are special to their families. When I hear a story like this one, it makes my blood boil. Don’t get a dog if you can’t or won’t make a life time commitment it’s not fair to them.

  2. This literally angers me and breaks my heart beyond belief. I would give anything to have my 3 pugs back and to see someone treat theirs in such a manner is deplorable, to treat ANY animal like that period. Prayers for Joshua, he’s beautiful and precious. Glad he got the loving home he deserves.

  3. My splinter looked just like Joshua when he came to me as a rescue. Blind and deaf, no hair, twenty pounds underweight and covered in scabs. Here is almost in full recovery. Fat, sassy and loving life……he is dearly missed from the furball family as he crossed over the rainbow bridge a year ago. Glad Joshua also got a happy ending

  4. This story made me cry buckets….thank God for all the wonderful people who helped this amazing dog Joshua!! And a special blessing to the family that adopted him!! See what love can do??? I have had rescue Pugs for the last 57 years of my life. I have had wonderful stories like ghis one…and have had amazing Pugs, all of them I loved..they have been my best friends, my loves, and my soul mates!!!!

  5. What an amazing transformation of beautiful Joshua. I have had Pugs as show dogs and as family pets. How can people treat these gorgeous dogs as if they are rubbish to be thrown away. So happy that Joshua has found a loving home.
