The saying “in the right place at the right time” was certainly true for one man when it came to a scary situation in Miami this past week.
26-year-old Samuel Reyes was out for a jog on the Brickell Key Bridge in Miami when all of a sudden he heard cries for help coming from down below.
When Reyes glance down, he saw a helpless dog struggling to stay afloat in the water.
Without hesitation, Reyes took his shirt and sneakers off, dropped his phone, and climbed over the railing before jumping off the bridge into the water.
The second he landed in the water, the dog began paddling toward him. He knew this man was there to help him.
Reyes grabbed ahold of the drowning pup and safely tucked him under his arm as the two of them swam to safety.
Thanks to Reyes, the dog was okay and was reunited with his owner.
