…such as searching for drugs and explosives, searching for lost people, looking for crime scene evidence, and protecting their handlers.

The most commonly used breed is the German Shepherd. But don’t underestimate our Boxer Friends!

This A-M-A-Z-I-N-G (and I repeat, AMAZING!!) German Boxer, has made over 500 arrests in less than 4 years as a police dog!!!!!!! MUCH more than most human police in their whole careers.

    Boxers have a natural guarding instinct which make them compatible with this training. Ever notice how they bark at the doorbell? No idea why some ssem so concerned / horrified at this. Im sure when not working he is as lovely as any boxer, and fhis is no bad reflection on the breed. They’ve been service dogs for years, especially first world war!

    Absolute rubbish. The stick is there so the dog is used to approaching somrone brandishing a weapon. If the dog was being beaten with a stick, there is no way on gods earth it would pursue someone holding a stick. Think it through…..
