Police dogs, often referred to in North America as “K-9″s (which is a homophone of canine), are dogs that are specifically trained to assist police and other law-enforcement personnel in their work…
…such as searching for drugs and explosives, searching for lost people, looking for crime scene evidence, and protecting their handlers.
The most commonly used breed is the German Shepherd. But don’t underestimate our Boxer Friends!
This A-M-A-Z-I-N-G (and I repeat, AMAZING!!) German Boxer, has made over 500 arrests in less than 4 years as a police dog!!!!!!! MUCH more than most human police in their whole careers.
Watch the video on the next page and be amazed by this Extreme Police! K9 style!

I’ve researched them online ! Very impressive lines . I’m considering them for my next boxer if their disposition is correct for family with low prey drive.

Mine grabbs and lock jaws a big mouthful of neck Behind the dogs ear where they can’t turn and bite and holds on until we seperate them . Ushually the other dog is already yelping in submission

My husband would love to get one of their pups because their size is so massive and he really likes the look of the larger boxer, our last boxer was 90lbs of muscle! But the Bachbett boxers have their tails and floppy ears, which my husband doesn’t like.. I myself like the look of the docked tail but I prefer floppy ears! Not only that, the Bachbett boxers sell for well over $2000 I believe, I’ve heard closer to $5000, a lil out of our price range!

The girl in mynprofile photo that I lost last year at nearly 13 was so bad when i got her as a rescue at 7 that i could not let her off lead for 6 months as she wanted to kill every dog that looked sideways at her…with training she turned into the best dog…but she could put pups in their place with a growl or a look and at 25kg have seen her towel up a rotto twice her size that wanted to have a go at her. The look on the owners face as i am dragging this old bag of bones off his huge rotti which is yelping on its back was priceless…I HAD told him to watch his dog humping her as she didn’t like it…

Alan McIntyre what a great turn around you had for your girl! How did you train her to not attack other dogs?

She had been a wanderer and ended up in the pound. I have worked for 15 years in Animal Management and been involved with Boxer Rescue for about the same time. Her issues were mostly fear aggression from bad experiences so was a matter of making her feel safe, stopping the bad behaviours and rewarding the good. I had had her 18 months and she was about 8.5 when i first saw her chase a ball…knowing what set her off and recognising when that would happen was the biggest thing…getting her before she went nuts…

Thank you Alan. I been tool my boy is protecting me or our family members. Passing agresive dog behind a fance, not a problem. Meeting the same dog next day on our walk… my boy would go nuts after the other dog. It’s usually alfa dog that sets him off. But he is not afla at our home.
