Police dogs, often referred to in North America as “K-9″s (which is a homophone of canine), are dogs that are specifically trained to assist police and other law-enforcement personnel in their work…
…such as searching for drugs and explosives, searching for lost people, looking for crime scene evidence, and protecting their handlers.
The most commonly used breed is the German Shepherd. But don’t underestimate our Boxer Friends!
This A-M-A-Z-I-N-G (and I repeat, AMAZING!!) German Boxer, has made over 500 arrests in less than 4 years as a police dog!!!!!!! MUCH more than most human police in their whole careers.
Watch the video on the next page and be amazed by this Extreme Police! K9 style!

It seems to me that Europe has bigger fish to fry other than ear cropping and tail docking.

When a trained Boxer dog says “you’re under arrest” then that’s that, you are and no doubt about it.

Curt Correll not in the uk, I can understand the tail they tend to break them, but ears is pure cosmetic and does nothing for the dog
Curt Correll
- Edit
Purely cosmetic you’re exactly right and I’ve had both but the cropped ears are beautiful.

I’m on my 4th and live in uk, but would not have one with a tail I’ve seen dogs with them broken and it’s really painful surgery, they feel very little when docked at birth, my latest one is a bob tail

I’ve had 5, 3 with cropped ears, 2 without. The 2 without cropped ears were rescued and we’re to old to have the ears done.

Curt Correll working breeds are permitted to have tails docked. Spaniels being amongst the working group. Totally permissible, along with any medical need that dictates it.
Still, so many “pet” utility/working breeds are docked because people think it’s a standard, when it’s not.
Daft reallyx

Thats what a real boxer should be, I don’t mean just the looks 😀 There was a time when character and temperament were equally valued. You should consider yourself lucky to have one with similar potential 😀

I think people shouldn’t be worrying about how “badass” their dog is. You should be worried about how well behaved and well trained your dog is. If all you want is a “badass” image, don’t get a dog!

So sorry for your loss, boxers are the best but unfortunately are very prone to getting cancer, they are an all round lovely breed and very protective,my boy often gets attacked for no reason by other dogs but he always puts them in their place and they soon back down and submit
