In romantic relationships, it’s usually a bad sign when things come down to an ultimatum. When one person forces the other to make an impossible choice, it’s usually a sign of larger problems in the relationship, and suddenly they all come to a head in one drastic dilemma.

When this man and his girlfriend discussed moving in together, there was a problem: his girlfriend hated his dog. So, she made him choose: it was either her or the dog…

This man and his girlfriend wanted to move in together, but she despised his beagle Molly. So she gave him a choice: her or me.

Soon after, he made this ad on Craigslist: “My girlfriend does not like my beagle Molly. SO I have to rehome her.”

LOL! That’s a tough position to be in, but it sounds like that guy definitely made the right call. Making somebody give up their pet is simply too much to ask!

    That’s what he should have done. That’s why the good girls have a hard time finding a good guy. Be time the good ones find each other one or the other is broken. This can go the other way too. Men can be just as big of an$#%&!@*as the women.

    Most people would say to choose the girl, since human relationships are ultimately more enduring and of greater value. Here’s the point, though: unless it’s a bad allergy, there’s no reason for her to be so hard nosed about it. Anyone who will drop that ultimatum will eventually disappoint, either because she (in this case) either does not respect his feelings / wishes as she should or because it’s a power play. Both are bad signs, and indicative of time to move on.

    The dog would win straight up! Anyone that makes yu choose between them and something else is only thinking of their own agenda and will more than likely not actually be around in the future

    My father-to-be made my mother-to-be give up her beloved cocker spaniels before they got married. Years later, I asked her if she’d do it again. Without skipping a beat, she answered “No.”

    I love it!!! No one should ever have to choose. If that happens there is a problem with that person that doesn’t like animals. And as you can tell there was with her. Jealous is a ugly monster.
