Man Intentionally Runs Dog Over With Car, Drags Him & Beats Him With Headrest

A Webster, New York man was arrested Saturday night after police said he intentionally drove after a dog and hit him with his car.

Ontario County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrived to the scene after they received a call regarding a vehicle damaging property while doing donuts in a field on Route 65.

Witnesses said they saw 54-year-old Daniel Haas chase a dog in that field with his car before purposely hitting him with the vehicle and dragging him six feet.

Haas then stopped his car and used the front passenger head rest to beat the dog.

He quickly drove off, leaving the dog there in agony.

Luckily, the witnesses managed to get the license plate number before he drove away, which helped police track down the suspect.

Haas was eventually arrested and charged with aggravated animal cruelty.

The one-year-old Pit Bull, now named DeeDee, was severely injured and is now being treated at a local animal hospital.
