2 Months After Losing Her Dog On Vacation, Distraught Mom Pleads For His Return

When a dog named Chip and his Mom went to Charleston on a vacation, they had no idea that the trip would become a nightmare for both of them.

While on a walk in a busy street, Chip’s leash got loose, and he lost his way in the crowded alleyway.

Mom spent the remainder of her trip looking for Chip, but the poor dog was not to be found. When Mom had to go back to Myrtle Beach, she asked some friends to look out for Chip before leaving with a heavy heart.

After no trace of Chip for over two months, Mom is absolutely distraught and is pleading for Chip’s safe return. She has no clue how Chip is doing, or whether he’s even alive. But she has not lost hope. Let’s spread the word and help her find her beloved dog.

Update: Two months later, Chip ended up in the local Veterinary Specialty Care in a frail and panicked state, on the brink of death because of low blood sugar. A Good Samaritan posted an ad about Chip on Craigslist, which caught the eye of one of Mom’s friends. When Mom received the friend’s call, she dropped everything and rushed to the hospital to get her baby.

In this video, we see Chip’s heavy eyes from all the hardships of the past months, but he is finally relieved to see Mom. Mom breaks down when she sees that Chip is just a shadow of the healthy, handsome dog he once was.

She embraces him and promises to keep him safe forever. The vet staff is left in uncontrollable tears, and so are we. This reunion made our day!

Tissue alert!!!! #welcomehomechipChip visited Charleston 2 months ago with his mom! While being walked by a friend, Chip got off his leash. Mom and her friends spent days looking for him before finally having to return home to Myrtle Beach. Mom never stopped searching with signs and friends in Charleston. Saturday a Good Samaritan found Chip and brought him to the Mount Pleasant ER. He was very thin and suffering from low blood sugar but his spirits and his love of people made everyone believe he had a loving home somewhere!! The good samaritan posted an ad on Craigslist. Mom had never thought to check Craigslist but that day a friend told her to do it and the first dog on the found list was Chip!!!! After verifying it was her dog she came to Mount Pleasant to get her baby!!! This is the first time she saw her baby in 2 months!!! Everyone shed happy tears!!! Thank you to the Good Samaritan and to the ER staff who knew this "stray" had a loving home and cared for him until it was found!!
