Have you ever heard of the term ‘pre-departure cues'? It's what your dogs pick up on (e.g. your every movement.. lol) prior to your leaving.

For example, if you grab your car keys, or your coat and hat, and make your way to the door, your dog gets anxious right away.

Well, this is exactly what's happening with this Boxer. Whenever dad grabs his “walking” shoes, Brock the Boxer dog expects dad to ask him to go for a walk.

What happens if dad ignores Brock after he puts on his “walking” shoes?

    Such a great and funny personality. I had two of them. They are smart! Just put mine down this week due to cancer and we’re so heartbroken! This made my day. Thank you so much for sharing the video.

    I have had two Boxers. One we got as a puppy and my second girl was a rescue that I found on pet finder.com I believe many rescues post there. My girl was 18months old and looked just like my girl that had past. Would definitely rescue.

    Maybe try an animal naturopath, raw diet etc. I found one in Australia who helped my dog immensely when my vets couldn’t offer anymore suggestions with my very sick bulldog. Changed her diet to a raw one with prescribed drops from them and turned her health around, I’d be trying everything. Good luck (I’m also a boxer owner).

    Every single dog I have ever had read my body language, especially if I was going to leave the house….and believe me, I tried to be nonchalant or pretending to do something else, but they know!!! Never got away with it. Love my dogs, past and present.

    Agreed. I have two that are my world and one half boxer and half rottweiler. She’s the Queen!! They are the best of all breed of fur babies in my opinion. They are loving, compassionate, strong, protectors and loyal yet wouldn’t hurt a fly. I love my fur babies. All 3 of them are our world. ❤❤

    Regardless which breed or size pooch 1 has, we all seem to love them just as much as our own kids. My (13 yr. Old) Chihuahua Mr. Burito seems to be the leader of the family. Dont know if its stanard with other breeds or not.
