A volunteer from a rescue in Australia shared their beautiful rescue story that involves a lovely pug named Basil. This pug was subject to some inhumane treatment from his former family in Melbourne, with a long list of heath problems. The Australian rescue group did not have long to save Basil’s life.
Basil was found nearly covered in mange, had stomach worms, and eye issues!
His former family was abusive, but was saved almost completely bald and starving.
When he was turned in, the rescuers knew getting Basil back to health would take a long time…
Visits from the vet and medicated baths allowed Basil to heal fast enough to be introduced to other rescued pugs at the shelter.
In a matter of weeks, Basil was looking like a completely new pug!

I have a particular fondness for Pugs! Had one, a boy, two yrs. old when he died suddenly from encephalitis. I adored that boy. Save as many as you can!! Love you all for what you do!❤️❤️

To abuse a pug is like kicking your mother when she is down. This animal knows only how to give love. Anyone who will hurt a pug, is less than a scum to me. Let me have a go at them.

How could anyone do this to an animal?! It makes me furious and sick. They are innocent and are pure love. Thankfully this little guy was saved. Shame on the owner.

So sad to see how cruel mankind can be towards pets who only want to love us. May all those pets who suffer be free from suffering and given loving and safe homes.

What is wrong with freakin people. Pugs are gentle dogs and do not deserve this god awful treatment. I hope the person who rescued this poor baby takes such good care and gives loads of love.
