Abusive Lady Gets Her Dog Back After Choking & Dragging Him In Angry Rage

A New York woman named Amy Cooper made headlines last week after she choked and dragged her dog in an angry rage at Central Park.

The woman got mad at a man who was sitting in the park birdwatching, because he told her to leash her dog.

The Cocker Spaniel, named Henry, was taken in by Abandoned Angels Cocker Spaniel Rescue, Inc., who has since returned the dog to Cooper following her request.

“The dog was promptly evaluated by our veterinarian, who found that he was in good health,” the rescue wrote on Facebook.

“We have coordinated with the appropriate New York City law enforcement agencies, which have declined to examine the dog or take it into their custody,” they continued. “Accordingly, and consistent with input received from law enforcement, we have now complied with the owner’s request for return of the dog.”

During the incident, Cooper had her dog unleashed in the park, despite signs saying that dogs must be leashed at all times.

A man named Christian Cooper (unrelated to Amy) asked Amy to leash her dog, but she flipped out and began dragging her dog around.

Christian then went to give the dog some treats, but it set Amy off even more as she screamed at him to not touch her dog. She then called the police and told them that an “African American man was threatening” her.

While Amy was yelling and screaming at Christian, she continued to drag her dog by his collar, which was choking him.

Christian managed to get the incident on video, which ended up going viral on social media.

Viewers were not only disgusted by how Amy was acting toward Christian, but were also appalled at the abuse she was inflicting on her poor pup.

The video below shows a dog in distress and may be disturbing to watch; viewer discretion is advised.
