Dog best friends were dumped at a shelter, and they can’t stop hugging each other

Dog best friends Adonis and Apollo were dumped at a high kill shelter in Texas, and they couldn’t stop hugging each other.

A-Team Elite Rescue Dogs

Cindy Droogmans, founder of the A-Team Elite Rescue Dogs, a group that rescues needy dogs from overcrowded shelters, heard about the dogs and took them to her veterinarian in Huntington, New York.

Cindy assumes the best friends were abandoned for being heartworm positive, like lots of dogs in Texas. But they’re now receiving full treatment.

Adonis and Apollo are inseparable, and that will make it even harder for them to find a forever home. But someone out there is surely willing to take on double the responsibility for these sweet dogs!

“A bonded pair is always difficult to place, but look at them,” said Cindy. “How can they ever be split up?”

  1. I think the cost is to cover spay, neuter and up to date vaccs which is required by most shelters and rescues. It’s very minimal costs compared to taking the adopted pet to a Vet who charges the public more. Vets do vaccs and surgeries at much lower costs for rescue groups. This info should encourage you to adopt as it actually saves at least 3 times the amount you would pay a Vet to spay or neuter. Btw, spaying a female is major surgery, the equal of a hysterectomy for a woman.

  2. You got this info from the wife of a deceased Vet husband. Now I have to pay vet bills like everyone else, but I know the astronomical cost of operating a hospital, the inventory and overhead. Terribly expensive. Keep in mind too, a Vet is his own pharmacist. Monthly drug costs would stun you! Good luck, and please go find yourself a great little buddy to adopt. I’ve adopted several, my latest a once abused Pug with mental issues! Lol ! My little love!

  3. Someone Please Give Your Heart And Hone To These Precious Boys So Unfair To Be Abandoned! Sending Hope And Love To Adonis And Apollo From Adelaide Australia And Prayers As Well!
