    My 1st love was a bagel…beagle/basset…named Jewel. I will always love her for teaching me everything about loving a dog. She was smart & such a great communicator. Those big brown eyes could tell stories! I think of her everyday with love. I do understand your loss.

    We’re on our 4th basset & our 3rd basset rescue & Dooley is the weirdest by far. He’s afraid of everything loud be it a clap, a gunshot, fireworks or thunder. He’s also terrified of our son who came to visit. Our other 3 dogs adore him but Dooley is scared to death of him. We can’t figure it out.
