20 Things All Rottweiler Owners Must Never Forget

The AKC Standard describes the Rottweiler as “a calm, confident, and courageous dog with a self-assured aloofness that does not lend itself to immediate and indiscriminate friendships.”

  1. It’s all true, maybe #8 more than any. I lost my Bruno a month ago after 9 shirt but wonderful years. I did 1 – 20, 20 being the hardest for me but he went in peace. These guys are the biggest goobers but the best friends you can ever have. We can only hope to be worthy of them. RIP Bruno.

  2. They left off one important one….Breeds of Dogs Involved in Fatal Human Attacks in the United States Between 1979 and 1998
    September 15, 2000
A 2000 report issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)2 reviewed a 20-year period to determine the types of dog breeds most responsible for U.S. dog bite fatalities.
During 1997 and 1998, at least 27 people died of dog bite attacks (18 in 1997 and 9 in 1998). At least 25 breeds of dogs were involved in 238 human dog bite related fatalities during the past 20 years. Pit bulls and Rottweilers were involved in over half of these fatalities and from 1997 to 1998 were involved in 67%.
