    Good reminders. I remember our last girl Ginger. Such a sweet soul. When we had to send her off to heaven we cried like little babies. We have another girl named Niki and she turned nine this year. She is graying around her nose, but acts goofy when I engage playing with her. Love this breed!

    no dog should be outside they are family and no animal should take that journey on their own.This is Jasper he was my baby sadly we had to have him put down at 8 due to cancer still miss him madly and it’s been 4 years since he left us

    Incredible tribute to OUR best friends. Unconditional love, dedication, loyalty and many other ingredients make up our truest friends. I was a dog handler in Vietnam and my dog was a Lab. He was so smart and dedicated to his work, which he was very good at, tracking people, finding booby traps, tunnels etc. I miss him terribly and always will. I had a German Shepard when I first arrived in Vietnam, but got reassigned. Thank you for your post.

    This applies to all dogs they all need the same. I love all my dogs and do the best i can for them to live long and happy lives, and i am always there for them at the end no matter how hard it is for me.

    My GS got into a jug of cooking oil I was accumulating to recycle rather than put down the septic (a def no no for the septic) but I should have kept it up and out of reach. I came home to find he had chewed through the delicious smelling plastic jug, spilled it out in the kitchen and then ROLLeD in it! Hahaha. What a mess but I know it was probably a truly joyous experience for him. Hours of cleanup but I just laughed, I could never get mad at that goofy dog. He died at six years old when my neighbors in Pine Cove, California poisoned him.

    I love my shepherd and he is sppiled rotten and for one thing he thinks he owns my bed we argue everynite and i hope that he lives a long life I’ll be crushed and yes he will be put in my grave with me when the good lord takes me plus my other fog whom i jad privatally cemanted i don’t even want to think about it because his arthritis is in his legs we are getting ready to get an xray at the spca whom was supposed to call me back a wk ago so im going to walk in and see if i can get him some mrds for his back legs
