20 Things All German Shepherd Owners Must Never Forget

With handsome good looks, the German Shepherd was an original canine movie star before the breed became popular police and military dogs.

One of the most capable and trainable breeds in all of dogdom, exceedingly eager to learn and work, a German Shepherd, when well-trained by a confident owner, is a magnificent companion.

It’s been often said that dogs are the only creatures on earth that love you more than they love themselves. Well, German Shepherds are no exception!

But sometimes, we take our furry friends and wonderful companions for granted. There are important life lessons that are sometimes easy to forget in our hectic lives, that all German Shepherd owners must never forget.

If we want to pay back the favor and give them the best life possible, these 20 important reminders should serve you well as awesome German Shepherd owners. The last one (#20) brought me to tears…

  9. Lisa Culberson, I think that “Bernie Ince” is some kind of “bot” or something, looking to scam people. I received the EXACT SAME message on my post (above) from a “Stephanie Ince” and so did Timothy Hall right below my post! Click on the link where is says “1 reply” and you’ll see the exact same message but from Stephanie instead of Bernie.

  10. HI Louis,,,, would you mind being friends? i do not want to be rude sending you a request without your permission, if your answer is yes! please kindly, send me a request here ,, thanks

  11. If you right click on the name “Bernie Ince” or “Stephanie Ince” and then click on “Inspect”… it will show you on the bottom of the window where this comes from, and it will begin with “STOP” in bold red letters.

Then below it, it says the following:
“This is a browser feature intended for developers. If someone told you to copy-paste something here to enable a Facebook feature or “hack” someone’s account, it is a scam and will give them access to your Facebook account.”

I wouldn’t “add” that person as friend if I were you!

  12. Don’t spay or neuter your dog too young. Studies are now finding this leads to CCL tears and hip dysplasia. I now have a 1 1/2 year old GSD with CCL tears in both legs. This is my beautiful Kaci.

  13. #20 is so true, it made me cry. I’ve been there with all my GSD’s at the end when the final kindness had to be done, cuddling them and kissing their faces as they slipped away.
