With handsome good looks, the German Shepherd was an original canine movie star before the breed became popular police and military dogs.
One of the most capable and trainable breeds in all of dogdom, exceedingly eager to learn and work, a German Shepherd, when well-trained by a confident owner, is a magnificent companion.
It’s been often said that dogs are the only creatures on earth that love you more than they love themselves. Well, German Shepherds are no exception!
But sometimes, we take our furry friends and wonderful companions for granted. There are important life lessons that are sometimes easy to forget in our hectic lives, that all German Shepherd owners must never forget.
If we want to pay back the favor and give them the best life possible, these 20 important reminders should serve you well as awesome German Shepherd owners. The last one (#20) brought me to tears…
Check out the 20 Things All German Shepherd Owners Must Never Forget on the next page:

He is beautiful. They give you awesome memories. He will live in your heart for ever. This is my Gunnar….their hearts are as big as their paws. Very protective and loyal……yes, he sneaks up on our bed, now that all the kids are grown up and gone.

I just lost my baby girl less than 72 hours ago on Tues. April 19, 2016, and right now… I’m hurting more than words can reveal, and more than words can heal!
Her name is Ellie J. Redner (after my Mom), and she has been my BEST FRIEND and Companion for the last 9 years 5 months and 1 day. She has permeated every aspect of my life, from the moment I wake up, to the moment I kiss her good night on her nose. And now… EVERYTHING I do… reminds me “how much” she has been “My # 1 BEST FRIEND” and I don’t know how I can “get over” loosing her. :'(

20. I held mine till she passed. I sat on the floor with her for two days talking to her till she was ready. It still breaks my heart to think she’s not by my side anymore. But I adopted a pretty stellar boy who is just as amazing.

I wont change my boy for anything even when he come back from a walk stinky, wet and covered in mud, you just cant but to smile as he has the biggest smile on his face. He is now 10 1/2 years and he has two conditions one will rob of his back legs as he has DM and also his spine is growing extra bone along it. At the moment he still wants to jump fences and escape and run around like a nutter
