With handsome good looks, the German Shepherd was an original canine movie star before the breed became popular police and military dogs.
One of the most capable and trainable breeds in all of dogdom, exceedingly eager to learn and work, a German Shepherd, when well-trained by a confident owner, is a magnificent companion.
It’s been often said that dogs are the only creatures on earth that love you more than they love themselves. Well, German Shepherds are no exception!
But sometimes, we take our furry friends and wonderful companions for granted. There are important life lessons that are sometimes easy to forget in our hectic lives, that all German Shepherd owners must never forget.
If we want to pay back the favor and give them the best life possible, these 20 important reminders should serve you well as awesome German Shepherd owners. The last one (#20) brought me to tears…
Check out the 20 Things All German Shepherd Owners Must Never Forget on the next page:

I cried at 20 cause my Cheeto passed away awhile ago but I still don’t forget what he did before he passed he came to lay next to me he used the last of his strength before he passed to be with me. If that’s not loyalty I don’t know what is. He was such a good boy I miss him everyday. That was the most devastating thing I’ve ever had happen to me having to watch my dog… Yes and I’ve had several friends die since but nothing has hurt me as much as losing the best friend I spent the majority of my time with.

They’re special dogs, so many people see them as vicious and they’re big softies. Saffy is bullied by Dougal. Tony wouldn’t let me punch a man on holiday who gave us a tirade of abuse for having a dangerous dog….she went to say hello to his dog and it bit her so he blamed us and Saffy all she wanted to do was to play other best friend is a sausage dog called Lulu (a friend of Isabel’s dog). Isabel walks Lulu and Saffy together.

My boy is such a loving, loyal, great companion. He’s more like a therapy dog to me, I suffer from a chronic pain disease plus anxiety, depression and other issues. Thinking about when it comes the time to have to let him go is so heart breaking. He’s 4 and he’s such a huge help to me and he helps me to keep going when nothing else seems worth it anymore. We just cherish every single moment with him and he’ll forever be in our hearts.
This whole thing applies for not only all dog breeds but cats too which I also have one of and they both get on so so well to say my kitten is 9 months old. It’s hard at anytime when you have to make that decision, but we do it because it’s the best interest to the furbaby. I don’t see them as pets, they are my family, our family.
