20 Things All Chihuahua Owners Must Never Forget

Chihuahuas… comical, entertaining, and loyal little dogs, absolutely brimming with personality – often a quirky and eccentric personality unmatched by any other breed.

Other than that generalization, Chihuahuas are extremely variable. You can find individuals who are lively or placid. Bold or timid. Feisty or mellow. Confident or nervous. Stubborn or eager to please.

It’s been often said that dogs are the only creatures on earth that love you more than they love themselves. Well, Chihuahuas are no exception!

If we want to pay back the favor and give them the best life possible, these 20 important reminders should serve you well as awesome Chihuahua owners. The last one (#20) brought me to tears…

  1. I can’t see my world without my Bentley.. he’s my everything and my cuddle buddy.. I love him and his 3 siblings more than anything.. I can’t picture my life without my 4.. #20 made me go hug and kiss them.. dogs are the best!!

  2. Well, we felt like we failed her. We took her to this ER, across town in hopes of getting her better. However, before we left, we had this really funny feeling and were thinking about pulling her out & take her to another ER closer to home. But we decided to ignore our guts & let her stay overnight & catch up with her oxygen level. Funny thing is she freaked out and wanted to go home with us. I tried to tell her that she can’t go home yet. Those two RUDE nurses were impatient with me. I spoiled her for a good 5 minutes & kissed her & telling her I will come back tomorrow. Guess what? 2 hours later, she passed away!. The last image I had of her was she was begging to get out of oxygen cage & be with her daddy…as I walked away, thinking by leaving sooner would calm her down for her health sake. We should have listened to our guts! It still haunts us to this day! They failed to save her life & waived all those fees. But it doesn’t bring her back. I would rather owe $2K and have her than nothing. I miss you very much, Pepper! She’s the one standing in my profile picture.
