20 Things All Chihuahua Owners Must Never Forget

Chihuahuas… comical, entertaining, and loyal little dogs, absolutely brimming with personality – often a quirky and eccentric personality unmatched by any other breed.

Other than that generalization, Chihuahuas are extremely variable. You can find individuals who are lively or placid. Bold or timid. Feisty or mellow. Confident or nervous. Stubborn or eager to please.

It’s been often said that dogs are the only creatures on earth that love you more than they love themselves. Well, Chihuahuas are no exception!

But sometimes, we take our furry friends and wonderful companions for granted. There are important life lessons that are sometimes easy to forget in our hectic lives, that all Chihuahua owners must never forget.

If we want to pay back the favor and give them the best life possible, these 20 important reminders should serve you well as awesome Chihuahua owners. The last one (#20) brought me to tears…

  1. Great read, thx for sharing. Can’t wait to get home to my 2 little chihuahas tomorrow. Roxy is the most spoiled & I love her as a furry child, since I don’t have human children…pets bring us such joy & happiness. Love them unconditionally every day as they love us! 🙂

  2. This was taking last week daddy got some bad news she something was wrong she went to next to him just laid her head on his chest to show him she is there for him. Our baby she has feelings she knows when we are upset she is just our baby we love her so much we say she is our daughter our 3nd baby cause she does not feel like she is a pet.

  3. I have a tea cup I got as a rescue. She is now my service dog, I would not trade her for the world. She had been abused before I got her and I had to teach her to play, to bark, and even trust me to fed her. But now she loves to play with toys, she loves to go out and meet new people, she barks 3 times when someone comes to the door and she will eat with me in the same room and take food from my hand. I think she has a good life.

  4. It kills me that not EVERY Chihuahua has a loving home as does my Lily!!! I cannot bear for my Lily to ever be unhappy. I wish every Chi had an owner like me. The idea that there are so many in shelters and others that are not properly care for, makes me so sad.

  5. It was a wonderful article, but like many others said. The last two made me cry! I will always love my chi..no matter how old she gets and will be there for her a the end !! That is my promise to my Lil Bit !!!
