20 Things All Chihuahua Owners Must Never Forget

Chihuahuas… comical, entertaining, and loyal little dogs, absolutely brimming with personality – often a quirky and eccentric personality unmatched by any other breed.

Other than that generalization, Chihuahuas are extremely variable. You can find individuals who are lively or placid. Bold or timid. Feisty or mellow. Confident or nervous. Stubborn or eager to please.

It’s been often said that dogs are the only creatures on earth that love you more than they love themselves. Well, Chihuahuas are no exception!

But sometimes, we take our furry friends and wonderful companions for granted. There are important life lessons that are sometimes easy to forget in our hectic lives, that all Chihuahua owners must never forget.

If we want to pay back the favor and give them the best life possible, these 20 important reminders should serve you well as awesome Chihuahua owners. The last one (#20) brought me to tears…

  1. That’s right Joan. When my hubby died three years ago she was always there for me through all my lonely times and tears. Well I put her down on the 16th of May. I have her paw print the clinic gave me . All her pics I took down for now.

  2. This little bill looks so much like the baby girl I put down on the 16 th of May. I love chihuahuas and never in 1000 years did I think this little chi with her tiny body and the big heart would work herself into my soul and heart like she did. With all of her five pounds she just loved me so much. Loved her big ears and hugs black eyes. Here’s a pic of her in happier Times

  3. I went through some horrible tragedies in 2001 I lost my mother to cancer on June 3rd 2001 my wife had a heart attack June 24th 2001 September 16th my grandmother passed away 2001 in October of that year I lost my job and my home the thing that kept me going was my wife had me get a Chihuahua when we were dating the dog was more than a dog to me he was more like my son he passed away a little over 5 years ago but I still think of him all the time without him I would have given up I have since gotten another chihuahua in fact I’ve gotten two more they keep me happy they are there for me after a hard day at work in fact while I’m laying on the couch right now both of them are sitting beside me I love chihuahuas yeah that’s right a big old grown man loves his little dogs

  4. My sweet babygrrr, Princess Porter was my best friend…lost her Dec. 18th 2011….had her For only 5 years…she was a rescue from the pound…she gave me love, friendship and woke me every morning with kisses…miss her so…I have her ashes in a heart that I keep so I can still give her a hug…hope to see her again over the rainbow…

  5. I lost my precious Emma March 13th 2016 , she was 17 , I got her when she was 7 weeks old . She was my shadow , we were almost always together . I knew she was getting very old and tired the last 6 months of her life and I prayed to God to please when it was her time to go let it be at home and with me holding her . And that is exactly how she left . It was very hard to watch but I’m so glad she was just where she wanted to be. I miss her every day and will always miss her . She will always be in my heart .

  6. This is Tanner, he is almost 2. He is my 4th Chihuahua. The other 3 were all girls. I even had one lived to be 22, there is one I had to give up and she is 16, and the other died at 10 because of a illness.
