20 Things All Boston Terrier Owners Must Never Forget

Boston Terriers are known for being very intelligent — sometimes too much so.

Their lively, affectionate nature makes them extremely lovable, though their sometimes stubborn nature or spurts of hyperactivity can land them in hot water with their owners.

Any angst about their behavior, however, soon melts when they look up at you with those huge, round eyes that seem to say “I love you.”

It’s been often said that dogs are the only creatures on earth that love you more than they love themselves. Well, Boston Terriers are no exception!

  1. My thirteen year old passed away laying at my side while I tried to comfort her. She was in so much pain, but not for long. I promised myself I would put her down before it got to bad. It happened too fast.

  2. I had to have My thirteen year old “baby boy” put down 2 days before Christmas. Having to let him go was probably the hardest thing I have ever done. It still hurts but I have my 2 other fur-babies to help cheer me up when I get down.

  3. Actually Buddy had cut his paw pads playing ball on the 4th of July. I had to take him to the vet and they surgically removed them. In this picture his paws were wrapped in bandages. My neighbor had crocheted the little boots for him s couple of years ago. I used them to protect the bandages. He healed up in 4 days.

  4. Those beautiful eyes just bring tears to mine. I look at them and I am a mess. It has been over 5 years since I lost my Emma, it is like it was yesterday, I miss her every day. She was my first Boston Terrier, a friend gave her to me after I lost one of my other dogs. I remember looking at her and thinking, OMG she is so ugly, how wrong was I. It took me a while before I found another Boston, this time though, I decided to adopt one, what I didn’t do though was get one that had the usual markings, I decided I wanted one that was different, his name is Bently , we call him the one eye bandit, he is a great addition to the family.
