20 Things All Boston Terrier Owners Must Never Forget

Boston Terriers are known for being very intelligent — sometimes too much so.

Their lively, affectionate nature makes them extremely lovable, though their sometimes stubborn nature or spurts of hyperactivity can land them in hot water with their owners.

Any angst about their behavior, however, soon melts when they look up at you with those huge, round eyes that seem to say “I love you.”

It’s been often said that dogs are the only creatures on earth that love you more than they love themselves. Well, Boston Terriers are no exception!

But sometimes, we take our furry friends and wonderful companions for granted. There are important life lessons that are sometimes easy to forget in our hectic lives, that all Boston Terrier owners must never forget.

If we want to pay back the favor and give them the best life possible, these 20 important reminders should serve you well as awesome Boston Terrier owners. The last one (#20) brought me to tears…

  1. Yes you will think you can’t survive it trust me but somehow you do and you’ll cry for months and you’ll hurt for them forever. But you’ll never forget how sweet and lovable they are. And they all a so special in some way to you because they think they are your human. And you are. So hold tight and never past a chance to love them, a little scratch. A little treat. Caddy went to the rainbow bridge a year ago I still cry

  2. Our very first one did this, he lived about 2 yrs. He had seizures for about 3 to 4 months until the very last one of were we he had to put him down. Though our second one lived 14 healthy years a female, we now have a third one he is 2.5 yrs (knock on wood) and he is in good health. I feel seizures are very likely with this breed especially pups who are born unhealthy to begin with which was the case in first place, he was the runt of the bunch.

  4. I have had ONLY Boston Terriers since 1992…Boudreaux for 8 years who would have CONVERSATIONS (mostly arguments) with me. I would ask him…what is a
housetop…he would Reply , “ROOF.”…Boudreaux l. What does sandpaper feel like?…….”ROUGH.”….can’t remember the third question or answer, but you get the content of our show.

  5. My wife and I where there for Daisy’s last breath. We understood how sick she was, but it still was very hard. The Vet we went to was her Vet her whole life. As Gail and I cried, the Vet fought back tears, the tech that was just learning her job totally lost it. Daisy gave us 13 years of love. Sleep tight little one!
